Summary0000017: Keep track of 'new' configuration files.
DescriptionThere should be a way to update/keep track of configuration files that are renamed and copied over. Looking for something similar to 'etc-update' found in Gentoo.

Current thoughts:

When file is renamed to *.new it should add it to a file ( /var/noop/new-config ) that will be used to keep track of where these .new files are.

/var/noop/new_config keeps track of new config files. It's also been modified so that only different config files will be considered 'new'. This bug does not include feature of updating config files, this needs to be done manually for now.
